Baseball Game Preview: Apollo Hawks vs. Tolleson Wolverines

For the second straight game, Apollo will face off against Tolleson. The Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Apollo will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Apollo came out on top against Tolleson on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Hawks took their contest against the Wolverines 6-3.

Apollo got a great performance from Angel Hernandez as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 5.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Hernandez a new career-high.

At the plate, Abraham Valencia was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Apollo's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Tolleson, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
