Softball Recap: Grovetown Warriors vs. Heritage Patriots
Grovetown waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They put the hurt on the Heritage Patriots with a sharp 15-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Josalyn Sergent was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Grovetown will venture away from home to face off against Archer at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will welcome Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
