Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Liberty Christian Academy

Liberty Christian Academy lost to Arendell Parrott Academy back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Heat walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Heat.

Peyton Hardison made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eden Kennedy, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Liberty Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

As of now, neither Liberty Christian Academy nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
