Baseball Recap: Sedgwick County Comes Up Short

Sedgwick County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Yuma Outlaws. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Outlaws this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Saturday.

Tate Renquist made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Sedgwick County is 3-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-4 otherwise.

Sedgwick County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Yuma, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Sedgwick County will face off against Wiggins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yuma, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-2 victory against Haxtun on the 8th.
