Baseball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Comes Up Short

Bishop Timon-St. Jude came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to the St. Mary's Lancers. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Lancers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wes Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Kyle Staniszewski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for St. Mary's, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Mary's beat Bishop Timon-St. Jude by a score of 7-3 on Wednesday.
