Softball Recap: Chippewa Comes Up Short

If Chippewa was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Rittman last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chipps lost 14-2 to the Hillsdale Falcons on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chipps of the 14-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Chippewa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KAYDINCE ZENTISKA, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Chippewa's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Hillsdale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Chippewa will square off against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillsdale will be paying especially close attention to the Chipps' matchup: after the Chipps faces off against the Tigers, they'll take on Hillsdale again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
