            A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kirbyville Wildcats  face off against  Buna Cougars at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Kirbyville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so Buna's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Kirbyville is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Warren  a   22-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight  runs or more this season.
 Jacie Roden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  stolen bases.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emilee Denz, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Sydney Wheeler was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Buna was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  6-2 to Anahuac.
 Kirbyville is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season.
