Softball Preview: Silverton Foxes vs. Lebanon Warriors
Silverton hasn't had much luck against Lebanon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Foxes will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Silverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Silverton after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 9-4 to Dallas. Foxes fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Dragons since on Wednesday.
Paisley Rains was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
Meanwhile, Lebanon waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 14-9.
The team relied heavily on Annastazia Marshall, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddison MacKie, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Lebanon's record is now 4-9. As for Silverton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
