Baseball Recap: IMG Academy White Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, IMG Academy White was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of the Four Corners Coyotes by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Ascenders have lost by just one run.

IMG Academy White saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Bayer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Bayer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Miles Canning also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

IMG Academy White is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Four Corners, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

IMG Academy White didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against Cardinal Mooney on the 1st. As for Four Corners, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Santa Fe Catholic on the 4th.
