Basketball Recap: Loving Comes Up Short

Loving lost against New Mexico Military Institute back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Loving Falcons came up short against the New Mexico Military Institute Colts, falling 64-41. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Loving lost, don't look at Tristen Onsurez. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Isaac Murillo was another key player, putting up four points along with five boards and three steals.

Loving's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Loving has already played their next matchup (against Tatum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Mexico Military Institute didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-50 defeat against Portales on the 23rd.
