Basketball Game Preview: Classical Purple vs. Central Knights

Classical is a perfect 10-0 against Central since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Classical Purple will head out on the road to face off against the Central Knights at 11:00 a.m. Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season.

Classical is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Central, who was ranked seventh at the time (Classical was ranked second). Classical snuck past Central with a 77-72 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Purple sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Classical's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Eliezer Delbrey, who posted 30 points, and Abdul Evans, who put up 25 points. With that strong performance, Evans is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Duke, who had nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Classical, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
