Baseball Recap: Vincennes Rivet Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vincennes Rivet can now relate to. They fell just short of the Shakamak Lakers by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Lakers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Vincennes Rivet saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nash Ransom, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Vincennes Rivet's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Shakamak, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7.

Vincennes Rivet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shakamak, they will challenge Northeast Dubois on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lakers 3.9, the Jeeps 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
