Football Game Preview: St. Augustine Purple Knights vs. Warren Easton Fighting Eagles

For the first time this season, St. Augustine will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warren Easton Fighting Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Saturday.

Last Saturday, St. Augustine took their matchup with ease, bagging a 68-40 win over Legacy School of Sport Sciences. Fans of the Purple Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, Warren Easton didn't have too much trouble with Slidell on Friday as they won 64-49.

St. Augustine's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Warren Easton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.

Everything went St. Augustine's way against Warren Easton in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as St. Augustine made off with a 42-19 victory. Will the Purple Knights repeat their success, or do the Fighting Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
