It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Campbellsville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Elizabethtown Panthers as the Campbellsville Eagles made off with a 15-6 victory. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Bryson Turpin and Kace Eastridge were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Turpin pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Eastridge pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. At bat, Turpin fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4, while Eastridge scored three runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryson Underwood, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Carson Mills, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Campbellsville and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Campbellsville is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Central Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elizabethtown, they will host Ballard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
