Baseball Recap: Seminole Ridge Takes a Loss

Seminole Ridge suffered their closest defeat since April 4, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Cardinal Newman Crusaders by a score of 4-2. The Hawks have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Justin Precanico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nikolas Halleran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
