Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Leopards vs. LaCrosse Leopards

The Lincoln Leopards and the LaCrosse Leopards will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.

On Friday, Lincoln was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-31 to Pike Valley. The loss continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, LaCrosse waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 38-21 victory over the Eagles.

LaCrosse pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Lincoln was dealt a bruising 63-31 defeat at the hands of LaCrosse when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of LaCrosse's Madison Morgan, who went 11 of 21 on her way to 30 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Now that Lincoln knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
