Baseball Recap: Mazama Gets the Win

Mazama proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Modoc Braves 7-5.

Devyn Lobdell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Jonny Ladner was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Mazama's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Modoc, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Mazama has already played their next matchup, a 10-6 loss against Phoenix on the 23rd. As for Modoc, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-12 defeat against Weed on the 25th.
