Volleyball Recap: Newaygo Takes a Loss

Newaygo lost against Kent City back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Newaygo's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Kent City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-2 record this season.

Newaygo and Kent City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Lions (ranked 183rd) will meet Tri County Area (ranked 446th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kent City will square off against Central Montcalm at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (195 vs. 560).
