Croatan extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Kannon McBride. The Cougars came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 63-58 W against the Havelock Rams thanks in part to McBride, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 29 points and six boards. His big performance that evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Crittenden, who posted eight points and five rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season.

Croatan's record now sits at 6-1. As for Havelock, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Croatan and Havelock will both be playing West Carteret the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Patriots at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
