Baseball Recap: KIPP King Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

KIPP King waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over Leadership. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Gabriel Acevedo was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more stolen bases the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Juan Huerta, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

KIPP King was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in 12 consecutive contests.

KIPP King pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Leadership, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
