Basketball Game Preview: Altamont Indians vs. Neoga Indians

Altamont and Neoga are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Altamont Indians will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Neoga Indians at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Altamont ended up a good deal behind Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and lost 43-29.

Meanwhile, Neoga took a blow against Newton on Thursday, falling 79-47. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Eagles are ranked 76th).

Altamont has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Neoga, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.

Altamont didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Neoga in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 63-58 victory. Will Altamont repeat their success, or does Neoga have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
