            Volleyball Recap: Galesburg Christian Lions vs. Pathway Christian Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It was a proper cat-fight when Galesburg Christian challenged Pathway Christian on Friday. The Lions came up short against  the Panthers, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Lions have suffered  against the Panthers since September 20, 2022.
 While Galesburg Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20,  25-21.
 Sheridan Cash paced Galesburg Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Cash got some help from  Grace Potter and her 11 assists. Finally,  Lydia Reed kept Galesburg Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
 Pathway Christian found their leader in sophomore  Leah Schrock, who  had 17  digs and two  aces. Schrock is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
Galesburg Christian has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8-1 record  this season. As for Pathway Christian,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-4.
 Galesburg Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against East Moline Christian on the 29th. As for Pathway Christian, they have also already played their next contest,  a  3-0  loss against Quad Cities Christian on the 29th.
