Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Channel Islands

Channel Islands entered their tilt with Hueneme on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hueneme Vikings. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Channel Islands was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 23-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Brandon Romero paced Channel Islands' offense, picking up 15 kills. Romero got some help from Daniel Miranda and his 35 assists. Romero was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Channel Islands pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hueneme, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
