Recap: North Forsyth Raiders vs. Brunswick Pirates
The North Forsyth Raiders fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Brunswick Pirates on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 62-60. While losing is never fun, North Forsyth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Brunswick is ranked 133rd).
Brunswick was led to victory by Craig Battle and Nasir Poole. Battle scored 20 points, while Poole scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Poole scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Butler, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.
North Forsyth has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Brunswick, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
