Football Recap: Strath Haven Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Strath Haven can now relate to. The game between the Panthers and the Springfield Cougars didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 26-10. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Derrick Bradley, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Springfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Valerio led the charge by rushing for 112 yards and a pair of scores. Those 112 rushing yards gave Valerio a new career-high. Tanner Coll was another key back, rushing for 93 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Strath Haven's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Springfield, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

As of now, neither Strath Haven nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
