Basketball Game Preview: Lisbon Broncos vs. Central Cass Squirrels

Lisbon is 1-9 against Central Cass since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lisbon Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Cass Squirrels at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lisbon is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Northern Cass.

Meanwhile, Central Cass lost to Kindred on the road by a 66-51 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Squirrels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Vikings are ranked third).

Central Cass dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lisbon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Lisbon came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Cass in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 60-58. Will Lisbon repeat their success, or does Central Cass have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
