With a playoff win on the line, Riverton rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Bingham Miners. This was a revenge game for the Silverwolves: when they faced off against the Miners on Thursday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.
Riverton got a great performance from Kaelyn Flynn as she didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Flynn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maggie Hamblin was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Grace Leary was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
