For the second straight game, Shaler Area will face off against West Allegheny. The Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shaler Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Shaler Area proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out West Allegheny 4-3.

Dante Deleonibus tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

At the plate, Shaler Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Rispoli, who scored a run while going 2-for-6. Logan Johnson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Shaler Area is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for West Allegheny, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.
