Basketball Game Preview: Triton Central Tigers vs. Covenant Christian Warriors

The Triton Central Tigers will face off against the Covenant Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Triton Central came up short against Eastern Hancock and fell 58-49. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sheridan typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Covenant Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 74-65 win over the Blackhawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Covenant Christian has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Triton Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Triton Central barely slipped by Covenant Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 45-44. Will Triton Central repeat their success, or does Covenant Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
