Pompano Beach and Cooper City are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Golden Tornadoes will venture away from home to face off against the Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cooper City took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pompano Beach, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Pompano Beach made easy work of Coconut Creek and carried off a 3-0 win. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Pompano Beach's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Cooper City came up short against Western on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Cowboys have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Cooper City was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-17.

Pompano Beach's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Cooper City, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Pompano Beach took their victory against Cooper City in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
