Volleyball Recap: Bucksport Wins Going Away Against North Yarmouth Academy

After losing to North Yarmouth Academy the last time they met, Bucksport decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Bucks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bucks.

While Bucksport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

Marina Keene was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten digs and seven aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Allison Hanscom, who had nine assists and eight digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Bucksport was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Bucksport's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for North Yarmouth Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.

As of now, neither Bucksport nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
