After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delphi Community, Clinton Prairie was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tri-Central Trojans with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Gophers, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Clinton Prairie let Alex King and Luke Harshbarger run wild. King went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base, while Harshbarger went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Harshbarger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Schlicher, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Clinton Prairie pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Tri-Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Looking ahead, Clinton Prairie is taking a road trip to square off against Hamilton Heights at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Central, they will face off against Southern Wells at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th.
