Basketball Game Preview: Empire Ravens vs. Palo Verde Titans

Empire hasn't had much luck against Palo Verde recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Empire Ravens will face off against the Palo Verde Titans at 7:00 p.m. Empire is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Empire blew past Catalina, posting a 54-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ravens.

Khari Gurley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalen Camacho, who posted seven points and four steals.

Thatcher typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Palo Verde proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Eagles with a 61-55 victory.

Empire's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13. As for Palo Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Empire came up short against Palo Verde in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 84-73. Can Empire avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
