Baseball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland managed to slip by Warsaw the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 7-0 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Lakeland's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9. As for Warsaw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Lakeland has already played their next contest (against Stockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Warsaw, they will face off against Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
