Football Recap: Falls City Tigers vs. Fairbury Jeffs

Falls City's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Fairbury Jeffs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Falls City can attribute much of their success to Blakely Sells, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 102 yards and a touchdown. Isaac Frederick was another key player, gaining 99 total yards and a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Fairbury still got an impressive performance from Korey Nippert, who rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Those 148 rushing yards gave Nippert a new career-high. Backing up that air attack was Dalton Vanlaningham, who rushed for 85 yards.

Falls City's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Fairbury, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Falls City nor Fairbury have any future games scheduled.
