Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Tracy Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Tracy. The Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lincoln and Tracy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Trojans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Taylor Tran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Tracy and bumps their season record up to 10-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.

Tracy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lincoln hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330.
