Skyline is 9-1 against Meridian since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Skyline has three straight wins, Meridian has 17 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Skyline beats Meridian with 15 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Hawks put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 15-4 victory on Friday. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Meridian fell victim to Brentsville District and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 19-0.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Skyline, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Skyline got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Meridian by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
