Softball Recap: Thrasher Gets the Win

Thrasher won the last time they faced Jumpertown and things went their way on Monday too. The Rebels walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Cardinals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Delancy Sartain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Keyona Hutcheson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Olivia Robinson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Thrasher's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Jumpertown, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thrasher will face off against Baldwyn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jumpertown, they will take on Falkner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
