Football Game Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs

The St. John's Jesuit Titans will square off against the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for St. John's Jesuit and 13 for University of Detroit Jesuit dating back to last season.

St. John's Jesuit is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against De La Salle Collegiate on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans lost 48-22 to the Pilots. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 211th in Ohio, while the Pilots are ranked 62nd in Michigan).

Meanwhile, University of Detroit Jesuit scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by Heritage and fell 42-14.

University of Detroit Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for St. John's Jesuit, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything came up roses for St. John's Jesuit against University of Detroit Jesuit in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Cubs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
