Basketball Game Preview: Sand Creek Scorpions vs. The Classical Academy Titans

Sand Creek hasn't had much luck against The Classical Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sand Creek Scorpions will host The Classical Academy Titans at 5:30 p.m.

Sand Creek is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 43-17 to Falcon. The Scorpions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led The Classical Academy over Mitchell in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that The Classical Academy blew Mitchell out of the water with a 59-18 final score. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 30 points or more this season.

The Classical Academy pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points over those games. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Sand Creek took a serious blow against The Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 46-16. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sand Creek was down 27-6.
