Basketball Game Preview: Southern Guilford Storm vs. Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles

The Southern Guilford Storm are taking a road trip to challenge the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Guilford is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Southern Guilford came up short against Atkins and fell 75-68.

Meanwhile, Ben L. Smith unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 61-47 fall against Dudley. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Eagles came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Panthers are ranked 101st).

Southern Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Ben L. Smith, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.

Southern Guilford took a serious blow against Ben L. Smith when the teams last played back in January, falling 90-36. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southern Guilford was down 63-29.
