Soccer Recap: Hickory Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Gaston Day

Hickory Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Gaston Day Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

The victory got Gaston Day back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alexander Central at 5:00 p.m. on March 17th. As for Gaston Day, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Legion Collegiate Academy at 4:30 p.m.
