Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Surry County Cougars. Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Surry County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The victory got Surry County back to even at 1-1.
