Baseball Recap: Redmond's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a good run, but Redmond unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mercer Island Islanders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Islanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 back in March.

Redmond saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cavin Bowmer, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Redmond's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mercer Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Redmond is set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mercer Island will take on rival Hazen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
