Recap: Lawrence Upper Lions vs. Medina Christian Academy Knights
The Lawrence Upper Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Medina Christian Academy 61-13. Lawrence Upper was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Jordyn Cunningham was Lawrence Upper's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Medina Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Ashley Conwill, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Conwill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grace Hastings, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Lawrence Upper dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Medina Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.
Lawrence Upper will look to defend their home court on Friday against the at 5:00 p.m. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
