Softball Recap: Avon's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Avon got themselves on the board against Dansville on Friday, but Dansville never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Rylie Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Kyleigh DeRider was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory keeps Avon at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.4 runs this season. As for Dansville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon will head out to take on Letchworth at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Legends will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Dansville, they will head out on the road to face off against York at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
