Baseball Recap: Halstead Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Halstead's offense. They came up short against the Hoisington Cardinals on Friday, falling 10-0. The Dragons have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Halstead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Diehl, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Diehl's first of the season.

Halstead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Hoisington, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Halstead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoisington, they will face off against Smoky Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
