Baseball Recap: Garinger Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Garinger's offense. They came up short against the Independence Patriots on Tuesday, falling 17-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Diego Camero was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Edson Hesiquio Alvarez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Independence, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Independence beat Garinger by a score of 24-6 later that day.
