Kimball quarterback recently surpassed 12,000 career passing yards

California dominates the national flag football passing leaderboard, according to stats submitted to MaxPreps.

Senior Emma Coronado of Kimball (Tracy, Calif.) tops the list with 5,419 passing yards, which is good for 318.8 yards per game. Coronado has completed 74.2 percent of her attempts and tossed 60 touchdown passes for the Jaguars, who are 17-1 as of Sept. 23 and ranked No. 4 in California's Sac-Joaquin Section.

A three-sport star for Kimball, Coronado recently eclipsed 12,000 passing yards in just two flag football seasons. She threw for 82 TDs during her junior season.

Coronado, who has an offer from NCAA Division III Albright College, had a career-high 473 yards in a 27-21 win over East Union (Manteca) in late August and followed with a personal-best seven touchdowns in a 70-7 win over Millennium (Tracy) .
Nine of the top 10 national passing leaders come from California. The only non-Golden State player in the top 10 as of Sept. 23 is Julia Rose of Vestavia Hills (Ala.), who has 3,883 yards and 64 touchdowns.
