Niobrara/Verdigre lost to Chambers/Wheeler Central back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Renegades. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since September 2nd.

Lynae Nielsen went supernova, getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September. Kara Kucera also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Niobrara/Verdigre was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Chambers/Wheeler Central still got an impressive performance from Paige Wolinski, who had 16 digs and four assists. Wolinski is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Niobrara/Verdigre and bumps their season record up to 9-14. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Niobrara/Verdigre has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Elgin/Pope John on the 20th. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Stuart on the 21st.
